St. Peter’s Lutheran church provides a variety of small group ministries for our church community. Our groups range from topical bible studies, books of the bible, themes, and support groups. These small group bible studies are at homes, St. Peter’s, and other churches.

Sunday Adult Bible Class

This class takes place during Sunday School Hour (from September - June). They meet in the church’s Great Room every Sunday.

Jim Gilmore will lead the Sunday Adult Bible Study through the Parables of Jesus and the New Testament.

The Truth Project

This small group Bible Study is a DVD-based small group curriculum comprised of 12 one-hour lessons taught by Dr. Del Tackett. This home study is the starting point for looking at life from a biblical perspective. Each lesson discusses in great detail the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview in daily life. We believe this one project represents the possibility for exponential change within the body of Christ, as we expect that thousands will be transformed by this curriculum. As it has been throughout history, God continues to call ordinary people to make an eternal difference in our world.

We invite you to be a part of this cultural change by participating in or leading a small group of your own. Contact us to learn how you can get involved in Focus on the Family’s The Truth Project! The meetings are being held at the Simske residence. Call the church office to upcoming meeting date. All are welcome (including high schoolers).

Men’s Ministry

We meet at church on the first Sunday of every month from 7:15 - 8:15 a.m. (prior to the Sunday worship service). The Men’s Ministry is a gathering of men focused on Jesus Christ. Their purpose, through fellowship and diverse outreach, is to win, encourage, model and build a closer walk with Jesus Christ and godly relationships with other men. The goal of the ministry is to gather an inter-generational mix of men who are willing to learn from Jesus and each other how to grow closer to God and to each other. “Entrust these things to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others” 2 Timothy 2:2

We are currently planning our first Men’s Social Event to be held at The Corner Alley, 402 Euclid Avenue, on Saturday October 15 at 5:30 p.m. Please join in on this opportunity for men’s fellowship and bring a friend! To confirm your attendance or for more information please contact Ron Rollins.

Spiritual Triads

Spiritual Triads has been initiated with over 16 men from the congregation participating. These Triads provide an opportunity for the men of St. Peter’s to grow together with other men in the congregation and outside the church in God’s Word and in close fellowship. Each Triad is independent and meets at mutually agreed intervals set by each Triad.  Through a steady and deep diet of Scripture (God’s life-transforming Word), individual accountability and prayer, members grow in faith and wisdom in Christ Jesus. The ultimate goal of each Triad is to grow and multiply disciples of Jesus and to bring into the Triad men who desire to grow in their current relationship with Christ, and to bring in those men who do not know Jesus as their Savior.  All men of the congregation are welcome to participate. For more information about Spiritual Triads or to become involved in one, contact Pastor Jim, or Ron Rollins.

Prayer Ministry Group

Everyone is invited to attend! Meets weekly at two different homes. We pray for the church, each other, and the community. We also will sing a song or two and have some coffee or tea. We meet for about 45 minutes.

Tapestry
