Celebrate Recovery Meetings

Celebrate Recovery meetings are similar to those of other twelve-step programs, one difference is in their focus on Christianity. The program stresses that there is no other Higher Power except for Jesus. Another difference is that Celebrate Recovery does not require one to conform to a singleness of purpose declaration, a member does not have to qualify oneself as an alcoholic, addict, or gambler - there are no requirements for membership. You may attend with a desire to work the steps for healing with any number of hurts, hang-ups or habits (compulsive behaviors). The meeting starts promptly at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 8:00 p.m. Recovery meetings is held at: Zion Lutheran Church, 2062 East 30th Street, Cleveland. Further information can be answered by contacting Rev. Jim Weist at 216-561-2511 or by email OR Rev. Jeff Johnson at 216-281-1700 or by email.

Alcoholics Anonymous Meetings

Alcoholics Anonymous Meetings meet at St. Peter’s weekly. Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. Topic: Big Book Study Discussion. For questions call the church office.

Church Planters

St. Peter’s helps to train and equip lay members for church planting. Pastor Weist provides preaching, teaching, and outreach opportunities for lay leaders. We also partner with Building Hope in the City to seek out opportunites for new churches in Cleveland. We meet monthly at different churches to pray about and plan for future church plants. We work with other churches seeking ways to allow members to use their gifts to proclaim Jesus to the world.

Jewish Missions

Our church is in a community that has over 80,000 Jews. We look for opportunites to work with and connect with the Jewish Community. We have had worship, training, and bible studies on how to connect with our jewish brothers and sisters. Our desire is to look for ways to let Jews know that Jesus (Yeshua) is the promised messiah of both the Jew and the gentile. As we are told by Paul in Romans 1:16, “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jews, then for the Gentile.”

Weight Watchers

There is no need to feel deprived while losing weight. With the Weight Watchers program, you will get the gentle push you need to make healthy choices, avoid hunger, and stick with the Program. This isn’t a “fad diet” - there are no required foods, and the very best nutritional research is behind the program. Come and check out our meeting every Wednesday in the Sunday School wing. Our meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. with our weigh in starting at 5:00 p.m.

Girls and Boys Scouts

The boy scouts and girls scout meet regularly at St. Peter’s. They provide great opportunities for your child’s physical, emotional, and spiritual growth.
The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is one of the nation’s largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness. For nearly a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. They believe, and through nearly a century of experience knows, that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.
