Words from Pastor Jim

At St. Peter’s you will be both challenged and equipped as a disciple, while being strengthened by God’s Word through worship, Bible study, and fellowship. Our passion at St. Peter’s is God’s passion. We want to grow as one of His disciples and we want to make new disciples by sharing the good news of Jesus with the world. This is Jesus command in Matthew 28:19 “Go and make disciples of all nations by baptizing and teaching. ” Our Mission and vision explain how we desire to fulfill Jesus mission.
I invite you to get to know us. Come experience celebrative worship, uplifting music, meaningful small group fellowship, bible studies, mission outreach, fellowship and the power of God’s word as we gather each week seeking to grow in our relationship with Jesus. We strive to provide a place where there is a sense of family and belonging.
Please take the time to look around our website and get to know us a little bit. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

What Lutherans Believe

According to the Bible and the Confessions of our church, we believe that:

  • God the Father is creator of all things and mankind is God’s unique creation
  • Human beings are born sinful and separated from God
  • God, the Son, Jesus Christ, lived, died and rose again to forgive sins and restore the relationship with our Heavenly Father.
  • Individuals receive the gift of forgiveness by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
  • God the Holy Spirit creates faith in our hearts through the Gospel.
  • The Bible is God’s inspired message to mankind.
  • Our chief goal is to share this good news with everyone.

What To Expect at Worship on Sunday

As a congregation we want to provide an atmosphere of togetherness and faithfulness, a culture united in and through God’s Word. Jesus speaks of the unity of believers in John 17:23b where He says, “May they (all believers) be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me”.
For that reason, we have a single traditional blended service on Sunday mornings that starts at 9:00 a.m. It is a creative worship with a traditional liturgy. Primarily organ music but we do have special songs, with guitar, choir, violions, and praise choir music. Sunday School and Bible Study classes follow at 10:30 a.m. Our sole desire is for Sunday morning worship and Bible Study to glorify God through vibrant, faithful, and meaningful participation.
You will find our worship service to be very personal. If you are visiting for the first time you will not be asked to identify yourself, but you will find our members friendly and they will say hello while you visit with us. We worship in the traditional sanctuary that you will find to the left after you enter the church from the parking lot. You can expect to receive a bulletin from one of our ushers as you enter the sanctuary. We always have bible studies for all ages. We would love to have you join us as we seek to grow in our relationship with Jesus through the study of the holy scriptures.
Finally, we love to stick around after worship and fellowship with some coffee and refreshments in our “Great Room”. The Great Room is next to the sanctuary. Please join us as we all seek to grow as one of Jesus disciples.
